FashionScopeJP はファッションを「文化的な場」として読み解く研究サイトです。そこでは美学・権力・アイデンティティが交差し、その相互作用の中でファッションがどのように形作られるのかを探ります。

ジョアン・エントウィッスルによるファッション社会学や、ピエール・ブルデューの「場の理論」に着想を得ながら、日本人デザイナーがパリを中心とする国際ファッション界の構造にいかに挑み、新たな地位を築いてきたのかを論じます。

歴史分析、文化理論、事例研究を通じて、日本人デザイナーの存在が世界のファッション文化にどのような影響を与えてきたのかを明らかにしていきます。
